CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The Call for Abstracts is now CLOSED.

Notifications: On or before Wednesday March 10, 2010


Physicians, scientists, and allied health professionals are encouraged to submit abstracts on all aspects of cell therapy, including research, clinical, laboratory, regulatory and commercialization topics/projects.  The categories for abstract submissions are as follows:

• Mesenchymal Stem Cells - Basic Biology
• Mesenchymal Stem Cells - Cell Processing/Preclinical Models/Clinical Trials
• Hematopoietic Stem Cells
• Cell and Gene Therapy or Cellular Gene Transfer
• Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering
• Immunotherapy & Dendritic Cells
• Lab Practices
• Legal & Regulatory Affairs
• Translational Process Development

Abstracts will be considered for presentation in one of the following formats:
• Oral: A 10-minute oral presentation by an author plus 5 minutes for questions.
• Poster:  A visual display at the conference. An author must be present.

There is no cost for submitting your abstract(s).  Abstracts are welcome from both ISCT members and non-members.  There is no limit to the number of abstracts that an individual may submit. 

Word count minimum: 50
Word count maximum: 300
Graphics: For each graphic used, 50 words will be taken off the word limit of 300.

Abstracts should be submitted only if an author intends to attend the meeting and present the abstract if accepted. Those presenting abstracts will be responsible for their own travel and meeting expenses. The rules applying to abstracts are indicated on the Abstract Submission System and must be followed. All abstracts will be published in a supplemental version of the Cytotherapy Journal.


AWARDS – Open to ISCT Members and Non-members

To be eligible for these awards, the applicant must be the first author and the author who will present the abstract.  The following awards are open to both ISCT members and non-members:

• $1000 Tech Travel Award
• $1000 Young Investigator Award
• $1500 Best Abstract Award

The recipients of all of the above awards will be selected by the ISCT Abstracts Committee.  ISCT may reject abstracts that are considered inappropriate for any reason.  Abstracts, once submitted, cannot be withdrawn from publication.
